I am a professionally-trained makeup artist based in Ventura County with over 5 years of experience.
I started my career in the industry not as a makeup artist, but as an actress and model. At 18, I pursued acting appeared in a number of films, TV shows and commercials. Growing up near Los Angeles, I found plenty of opportunities to gain valuable experience on different sets.
A week after I turned 20, I packed up, moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, and began looking for modeling jobs. Although running around on gorgeous beaches on beautiful days with talented photographers was fun, I wanted a little more action and excitement. I also yearned to do something with my creativity, so when a producer friend asked me to appear in a full length feature film of his, I said, “"Well, maybe...Do you need a makeup artist?"” And so it began...
I made quick friends with a Chanel makeup artist in Palm Beach and learned valuable tips from her. I felt more than prepared to start my job on the film.
After assisting on the film and a music video with a wonderful mentor, whom I think of as my "Florida Mom", I knew I had finally found my calling. I'd built up a solid reputation in South Florida and was referred to other jobs in film and print.
In late 2003, I moved back to Southern California and attended the Studio Makeup Academy at the Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood. After finishing courses in Beauty and Special Effects, I set out to start my career.
Whether it be film, print, weddings, or private events, I am always extremely professional and passionately serious about my job, and I promise it will always show in my work.
